Fun of the Past

Fun of the Past is a Painting Competition open to all artist of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan ages 16 to 25 years old.

Fun of the Past is organized by the City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan Council on Culture, Arts and Tourism in cooperation with Los Arcos de Hermano Resort and Events and Macuha Art Gallery.

The date of submission is on February 12, 2016. The judging of entries is scheduled on February 15, 2016 while the Awarding Ceremonies are to be held on February 25, 2016. Entries should be submitted on February 12, 2016 from 9:00am to 4:00 pm at Los Arcos Hermano Resort, Barangay Tungkong Mangga, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Old Churches in Pen and Ink by Noel Bueza

Pen and Ink is the medium used by Filipino Artist, Noel Bueza, to describe some of the old churches located in the Philippines. Noel Bueza, an acclaimed artist from Lucban, Quezon, Philippines, is famous for his rendering using pen and ink. Noel has created these masterpieces with his meticulous strokes of lines and curves. The highlights and shadows of these works of art are very realistic. It was an honor for Macuha Art Gallery to have these Pen and Ink art works from Noel Bueza – The Master of Pen and Ink.

Sam Penaso is a native of Bohol, Philippines. This multi-awarded artist is a graduate of Technological University of the Philippines with a degree in Advertising. Known for his sculptures entitled

Portraits are paintings, photographs, sculptures, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person according to Wikipedia. Precious Smiles Portrait Series are not only impression of a person by an artist, but an impression of my Family by an international renowned artist, Emmanuel Nim.

Emmanuel Nim has completed the Precious Smiles Portrait Series of our family. He started with the portrait of my wife, Stephanie Yvette, back in April 2015. At the beginning of this year 2016, and in just one day, he completed the rest of the portrait series for me, my son, Jae Jewel and my daughter, Joshua Yvette. A very good start for the Year 2016.
